Sofar Sounds Dublin / Amnesty International / D-Light Studios 20.09.2017

On September 20th 2017 D-Light Studios had the honor of hosting Sofar Sounds Dublin's #GiveAHome event. Proceeds of this very special night went to Amnesty International.

Give a Home’ was a first-of-its-kind global day of live music events taking place in people’s homes, studios, shops and cafes in which 1,000 musicians performed at over 300 concerts in more than 200 cities globally.

The event took place on 20 September, and brought together musicians, refugees, and music fans in the aim of uniting people to welcome refugees – because we all deserve a home, not just the memory of one. We were treated with live performances by Hozier, Wyvern Lingo, Sorcha Richardson and Lewis Kenny.

The money raised from the concerts goes towards Amnesty’s work on protecting and championing human rights, including that of refugees and migrants.

Zehr Gut / Homebeat / Fringe Festival / Goethe Institut Irland present Edward (Giegling)

ZEHR GUT / HOMEBEAT / FRINGE FESTIVAL / D-LIGHT STUDIOS
15.09.2017

Zehr Gut is a collaboration between Dublin based Homebeat and Goethe- Institut Irland, who aim to celebrate the impact of German artistry and culture here in Dublin. After the success of the Grandbrothers at last year’s Dublin Fringe Festival (a live performance of classical composition blended with elements of techno and club music), we’re ready to check out Edward’s Irish Debut. As part of the Giegling Collective, this Berlin DJ and producer is coming from the best of the best in house and techno production. Geigling are one of the most talked about techno/ dance music labels of the moment, known for their more introverted, emotional take on electronic music. The group began in Weimar, where some of the collective were attending the Bauhaus University, and after their quick rise to success overseas

EDWARD

While his production output spans across a broad range of styles, Edward’s music typically encompasses the emotion-filled qualities that have helped make Giegling one of house and techno’s best-loved labels in the world.

D-Light Studios & Zehr Gut with Homebeat presents : Christian Loffler

Joining forces with our pals at Homebeat has brought some of the most magical experiences to the city.  The big vibes that have filed our warehouse/woollen mill have inspired and captured the hearts of all our guests.  Sign up to our mailing list to get the first round of tickets available for these unique and exclusive events.  Here are some highlights from our most recent artist Christian Loffler.

"Seeped in melancholy, but constantly driving forward - Loffler's music is at one turn dance floor orientated, but introspective and elegant.   His latest album 'Mare' continues the evolution of his sound - gently unfolding rhythms and textures echoing a strong sense of place - the album was aptly recorded in a log cabin overlooking the Baltic sea.   Loffler is joined by accompanying vocalist Mohna" Homebeat
